ALEXANDRIA, VA (May 21, 1998) -- Just as the Academy Awards employs guest speakers to announce each individual Oscar, today I have the honor of announcing the Cash-King Portfolio's seventh Cash-King investment.

I could announce the name of the winner right now, but that wouldn't be very sporting, would it? That would be similar to Sharon Stone approaching the Oscar podium and -- rather than reading off the nominees -- excitedly shouting to the world, "I can't wait to tell you! Robin Williams did win! Robin Williams, you won! Come on up Robin!"

(A stunned audience would slowly break into scattered applause.)

To avoid a situation like that, I will now list the Cash-King nominees, and I will then point you to the link that -- like a cyberspace envelope -- holds the winner. The nominees are: Cisco Systems, for "Network in Your Office." (Applause.) Up for a second award is Microsoft, for the work entitled "I'm the King of the World!" (No applause.) Our third nominee is Gillette, for the work known as "Transforming Old European Habits." And our fourth nominee is American Express, for "Don't Leave Home Without Visa" -- which was a daring message for the company to share.

And the winner of the prestigious Cash-King award, the new buy in the honorable Cash-King Portfolio is....
