<THE HARRY JONES PORTFOLIO>
by Harry Jones
(March 22, 1999) -- Irv returned from his trip this weekend. He made it to the Carolinas and Virginia and Washington D.C., just like he planned. Rather than speak for him, we'll let him talk about it later this week.
I spent the weekend working. At least a few hundred family farms go belly up every week in this country. We don't intend for that to happen here. Growing what you think will be the most profitable crops isn't easy, however, and if you're wrong just one season on more than a few crops, you could end the year in a deep hole. At least there aren't too many crops to choose from.
