Apple (AAPL -0.35%) has updated the statistics on the environmental section of its website to incorporate 2012 data, and the Mac maker now says it has achieved 100% renewable energy use at all of its data centers. The company has also reached that threshold for its corporate facilities in Austin, Elk Grove, Cork, Munich, and Cupertino. Apple includes solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal as renewable energy sources.

When including all of its global corporate facilities, Apple was at 75% renewable energy usage for 2012. That's up from 35% in 2010. Apple says it will continue to improve, and wants to achieve 100% renewable energy throughout the entire company.
