The markets had a quiet week between June 23 and June 27. None of the major market indices ended the week more than 1% away from Monday morning's starting point.
But these three tech stocks clearly never got the order to lay low:

Patent portfolio manager VirnetX Holding (VHC +4.86%) surged last Tuesday and then held steady, closing the week 10.8% higher.

Digital video processor designer Ambarella (AMBA 0.25%) followed a similar pattern, rising as much as 11.3% by Tuesday before sliding back to a more modest 4.8% full-week gain.

OLED technology researcher Universal Display (OLED 0.68%) did it the other way around, trading sideways or down until last Friday -- when it surged 9% in a single day.
