How to get free grocery credits every month
If you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, you automatically get a $10 monthly credit when you activate and use DoorDash's grocery or convenience store delivery. If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, you get another $10 credit on top of that. That's a total of $20 a month in free groceries.
To take advantage of this:
- Make sure you have an active DashPass subscription (don't worry, Sapphire cardholders get at least a year for free).
- Add your Sapphire card as a default payment method and activate. Then order groceries through DoorDash's grocery or convenience section.
- Your credit is automatically applied, lowering your total cost instantly.
There's no complicated redemption process -- just order and save. Your DashPass subscription will waive any delivery fees, but don't forget about local service fees and tipping your driver. But you can avoid those by ordering through the app and picking up your things yourself.

Easy ways to maximize your savings
This perk is already great, but there are ways to make it even better. Here's how you can stretch those savings further:
- Combine with promotions: DoorDash regularly offers discounts, so stack those deals with your credit for even bigger savings.
- Order smart: Need just a couple of items? Add them to a restaurant order to use the credit without extra delivery fees.
- Set a reminder: These credits don't roll over, so if you don't use them each month, they're gone!
- Pair it with grocery rewards: If you're using a credit card that earns bonus points on groceries, you're saving even more.
Is this perk worth it for you?
If you already have a Chase Sapphire card, make sure you're taking advantage of this perk. And if you don't have one yet, this is just one of the reasons to consider getting one. The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card offers hundreds of dollars in travel savings each year, plus you'll get access to these monthly grocery savings.
