If you don’t want to choose between a great rewards program or a long 0% intro APR, then the Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card is one to look at. It has a high earnings rate that goes even higher if you use your card every day (hence the name), and it boasts an impressive zero interest offer, as well. While it does have a few notable drawbacks, it could prove very valuable for the right card member. Get all the details on this credit card right here in our Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card review.

Highlights
This credit card is a good fit for: Frequent shoppers who use their credit card regularly. Those who make purchases at least once per day will unlock more rewards from this card.
Up to 3 points per $1: With the Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card, you earn:
Overall, this card is competitive with the premier rewards cards in terms of how many points it earns. And there's also a way you can earn even more back.
Earn 50% more points: American Express didn't pick this card's name out of a hat. You actually benefit if you use your card every day. When you make 30 or more purchases in a billing period, all those purchases will earn 50% more points. It's an interesting feature that you won't find with most credit cards.
That means 4.5 points per $1 at U.S. supermarkets until you reach that $6,000 annual spending cap, 3 points per $1 at U.S. gas stations and travel purchases through American Express travel, and 1.5 points per $1 on everything else, taking the card's rewards rate from good to outstanding.
15,000 bonus points: You receive this welcome offer once you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first three months.
0% intro APR: For the first 12 months, all purchases have a 0% APR. Although that's not the absolute longest offer on the market, it still gives you a year to pay off purchases with no interest charges.
Point redemption options: Since this card earns American Express Membership Rewards points, you'll have a couple of great ways to redeem them. The best option is to transfer your points to an American Express travel partner, and that includes a large number of airlines and hotels. If you transfer your points wisely, you could find an award booking where you get well over $0.02 per point.
Even if you can't find a transfer opportunity for the travel you want, you can always use the Pay with Points feature on American Express travel. This lets you book a cash airfare ticket using your points, and you'll get $0.01 per point when you do.
Complimentary ShopRunner membership: Through ShopRunner, you'll receive free two-day shipping from its network of over 100 online stores. You do need to enroll to get this benefit, but it's free when you have the Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card.
Consumer and travel protections: There are a few helpful coverages that apply on purchases made with this card, including:
Welcome offer amount: A 15,000-point sign-up bonus on a card that costs $95 per year is far below average. If you go through the cards with the best sign-up bonuses, you'll find several with the same annual fee that offer much more.
2.7% foreign transaction fee: A foreign transaction fee is disappointing considering the cost of this card. For any trips abroad, you'll need to pick a travel credit card to avoid unnecessary extra costs.
Incentivizes spending more: The fact that you earn more rewards by using the Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card often is certainly unique, but it could also encourage you to make unnecessary purchases. Considering how costly credit card debt can be, it should be noted that this card can lead to unhelpful spending habits. If you decide to apply, that's one thing to watch out for.
The Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card is aimed at people with good to excellent credit, and your likelihood of approval will go up if your FICO® Score is 670 or higher. American Express could approve you with a lower credit score, as some applicants with scores in the 600 to 650 range have reported approvals, but it's better to improve your credit first.
The $95 annual fee of the Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card is justified if you have high gas and grocery spending.
Let's say you can max out this card's U.S. supermarket rewards by spending $6,000 per year in that category. You'd earn 18,000 points, worth at least $180, and potentially much more if you transfer your points to an American Express travel partner. That's just what you'd earn from grocery spending, and it doesn't add in the bonus you can get from making at least 30 purchases per billing period.
