KEY POINTS

  • The Target Circle 360 membership will launch on April 7, offering shoppers free shipping and same-day delivery benefits.
  • This subscription will cost shoppers $99 annually, but Target credit, debit, and reloadable card users can score a one-year Target Circle 360 subscription for $49 through May 18.

Target is unveiling a new paid subscription program to simplify shoppers' lives. The annual membership, called Target Circle 360, will cost $99 annually and be available starting on April 7. It will provide paying members with free shipping and same-day delivery perks.

This new membership program will rival popular subscription services like Amazon Prime and Walmart+. We'll explain how the program will work and tell you how to get a one-year membership at a discounted price of $49, instead of the usual $99 fee.

Introducing Target Circle 360

Starting on April 7, Target shoppers can enjoy the benefits of the Target Circle 360 program. You'll need to pay an annual membership fee of $99 to access these perks. Subscribers will get free two-day delivery shipping on eligible purchases, with no order minimums.

A Target Circle 360 subscription will also provide free same-day delivery in as little as one hour for eligible goods ordered from Target, Shipt, and select retail partners. This benefit applies to qualifying orders of $35 or more. Subscribers can have orders delivered to their homes or someone else's, making it easy to send gifts to loved ones.

Target Circle 360 subscribers also benefit from free, no-rush returns. Members will get an extra 30 days to return purchases beyond the standard return policy. Target shoppers can become a member starting on April 7.

How to get your first year of Target Circle 360 for $49

Act fast, because from April 7 through May 18, Target RedCard holders can score a $50 discount on a Target Circle 360 membership. The first year of membership will cost $49 instead of $99. After the first year, the standard fee will apply. This discount provides an excellent opportunity for Target loyalists to test this new service.

If you don't have a Target RedCard and aren't interested in applying for one, you'll pay the standard $99 yearly subscription fee to become a Target Circle 360 member. This is a solid deal, considering Amazon Prime costs $139 per year, while Walmart+ costs $98 annually.

Target Circle Rewards program changes are coming

The retailer also announced upcoming changes to its free rewards program, Target Circle Rewards, which will begin on April 7. One valuable benefit that is going away is 1% rewards. Rewards members will no longer earn 1% in cash back earnings on eligible purchases.

But there's some good news. Starting in April, Target Circle Rewards deals will automatically be applied to shoppers' Target Circle Rewards accounts. That means you'll no longer have to manually add a deal to your mobile app wallet to get a discount on your Target shopping bill.

The program will also provide shoppers with personalized deals matching their spending habits.

The new automatic rewards feature may result in greater discounts because there's no risk of forgetting to add a deal to your account before checkout. The more shopping discounts you can score through the program, the more money you can keep in your bank account.

It's worth noting that Target RedCard holders will continue to get a 5% discount when paying for Target purchases with their card. This 5% discount applies to all Target cardholders, including debit and reloadable card users. Cardholders will also continue to get free two-day shipping perks and an extended return period without having to join the Target Circle 360 program.

However, Target's credit card, debit card, and reloadable cards will undergo a rebranding in April. At that time, the names of these cards will change. Looking for tips to save money in your daily life? Check out our free personal finance resources.
