HNI Maintains $0.24 Dividend

Furniture maker has paid a quarterly dividend every year since 2001.

Fireplace and office furniture maker HNI (HNI 1.59%) announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.24 per share, the same rate it paid for the last four quarters after it raised the payout a penny from $0.23 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on May 31 to the holders of record at the close of business on May 17.

HNI has paid a dividend every quarter since 2001 and has regularly increased the payout over that time period. Since 1957 it has also split its stock 10 times, the last time being in 1998.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.96-per-share annual dividend yielding 2.8% based on the closing price of HNI's stock on May 7.
