Gold and silver prices are ending higher, reversing a decline from the day before.

Energy prices fell broadly on Wednesday. The price of crude oil for July delivery fell $1.88 to $93.13 a barrel, a loss of 2 percent. Heating oil, wholesale gasoline, and natural gas prices also fell.

The June gold contract rose $12.40 to $1,391.30 an ounce, an increase of 0.9 percent. Silver for July delivery rose 26 cents to $22.453 an ounce, or 1.2 percent.

Other metals closed lower. Platinum, palladium, and copper prices all fell.

Crop prices were mixed. Wheat rose, while corn, and soybean futures edged lower.
