Global power generation leader AES (AES 1.40%) announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.04 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past three quarters after initiating the payout last year.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 15 to the holders of record at the close of business on Aug. 1.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.16-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.2% based on the closing price of AES' stock on July 15.
