Global reinsurer XL Group (XL +0.00%) announced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.14 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 27%, from $0.11 per share.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Sept. 30 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 13. The board also said it would pay a dividend of $8.6572 per share on its Series D preference ordinary shares, and a dividend of $32.50 per share on its Series E preference ordinary shares. Both these dividends would be paid on Oct. 15 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Oct. 1.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.56-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.7% based on the closing price today of XL Group's stock.
