There is a new name next to the CFO title at NeoPhotonics (NPTN +0.00%). The company announced that James Fay, its current CFO and senior vice president of finance, has resigned. According to a NeoPhotonics press release announcing the news, he has done so in order "to pursue another career opportunity." No further details were provided.
The firm said it has retained an executive search firm to help it find a replacement. Meanwhile, it named Cal Hoagland to be interim CFO. Hoagland is a principal at FLG Partners, a California-based CFO services and board advisory consultancy.
Fay will remain employed at the company until November 11, and will serve as a consultant through next March 15.
