For the fourth time in its young life, AbbVie (ABBV 2.51%) is dispensing a shareholder payout. The company has declared its latest quarterly dividend, which is to be $0.40 per share paid on November 15 to stockholders of record as of October 15. That amount matches all three of its previous distributions, the most recent of which was handed out in mid-August.
One of the company's first moves after being split from Abbott Laboratories at the beginning of this year was to declare a dividend. It has paid a disbursement in every subsequent quarter.
The just-declared dividend annualizes to $1.60 per share. That yields 3.4% at AbbVie's most recent closing stock price of $47.40.
