LyondellBasel Keeps Dividend Steady

The specialty chemicals maker raised the payout to investors two quarters ago.

Specialty chemicals manufacturer LyondellBasel (LYB +4.13%) announced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.50 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 25% from $0.40 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on October 7 to holders of record at the close of business on September 23. The regular dividend payment equates to a $2.00-per-share annual dividend, yielding 2.8% based on the closing price today of LyondellBasel's stock.
