About Denka

Denka Co., Ltd. engages in the chemical manufacturing business that includes organic, inorganic, and electronic materials, processed resin products, and pharmaceuticals. It operates through the following segments: Elastomers and Performance Plastics, Infrastructure and Social Solutions, Electronics and Innovative Products, Living and Environment Products, Life Innovation and Others. The Elastomers and Performance Plastics segment offers styrene-based resins, chemical products and acetylene-based organic chemicals. The Infrastructure and Social Solutions segment offers fertilizers, inorganic chemicals, cement, and special cement additives. The Electronics and Innovative Products segment handles thermal emission components, fused silica filler, ceramic moldings, and electronic component transfer materials. The Living and Environment Products segment deals with food packaging materials, electrical insulation tape, plastic rain gutters, and join function improvement agent. The Life Innovation division provides influenza vaccines, diagnostic reagents, and macromolecular sodium hyaluronate preparations. The Others segment handles plant engineering and trading businesses. The company was founded by Tsuneichi Fujiyama on May 1, 1915 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
