Welcome back to another Foolish review of the coldest stocks as ranked by Motley Fool CAPS. We're looking at the three worst-performing industries over the past 30 days and your favorite short and long candidates in each.
Last week and the week prior, ethanol producers were falling faster than the ratings for MTV's Total Request Live, and they're the Fools at the bottom of the hill once again. Stocks in this sector are down 17.3% over the last 30 days.
Who are the others? Have a look:
- Second worst, for the second week in a row, are the distillers. Constellation Brands
(NYSE:STZ) and its bottle-tipping rivals are nursing a 15.9% hangover from binging for the last 30 days. - Third worst are makers of organic light-emitting diodes, including Rule Breakers pick Universal Display
(NASDAQ:PANL) . While these flat-screen rebels might someday bring TV to your phone, their stocks are failing to tune in returns. They're down 15.8% over the last 30 days.
