Monday
The new trading week kicks off with China's Mindray Medical (NYSE:MR) reporting. Wall Street is looking for the maker of patient monitoring devices, diagnostic laboratory instruments, and ultrasound imaging systems to earn $0.15 per share for the quarter. The company has beaten estimates for two of its first three quarters as a public company.

Tuesday
If it's Tuesday, it must be Marvel (NYSE:MVL). The comic book publisher has carved out a cozy living by cashing in on its character-rich portfolio. Analysts project its second-quarter earnings on Tuesday to more than double to $0.39 per share. You can thank Spider-Man, the Fantastic 4, and a licensed-toy deal with Hasbro (NYSE:HAS) for the improvement.

Wednesday
Wedding bells will chime on Wednesday, but it's not just because The Knot (NASDAQ:KNOT) is announcing its second-quarter results. Those wedding bells may also apply to shareholders who must decide on how committed they are to The Knot. For the first time since analysts began following the company two years ago, The Knot missed profit targets in the first quarter. The pros already expect a dip in profitability this time around, but which side of the $0.10 per share mark the company lands on will go a long way to dictating where the stock goes from here.

Thursday
Maybe you don't like your pizzas topped like BLT sandwiches or Thai entrees, but fans of California Pizza Kitchen (NASDAQ:CPKI) sure do. Heading into Thursday's report, the casual dining chain is also holding up better than many of its peers that are posting dips in quarterly profits and comps. Now let's see if the dough can keep rising.

Friday
They say that you can never go home again, but does that apply to homebuilders too? Clearly the past few quarters have been tricky for the industry. Dominion Homes (NASDAQ:DHOM) reports on Friday. Will the developer's emphasis on the lukewarm central Ohio market -- a state that never took off to the sudsy levels of coastal markets -- help or hurt during the downturn? Friday knows, but it's not telling.

Until next week, I remain,
