Over on CAPS, 778 of the 801 All-Star members who have rated Mosaic -- some 97% -- believe the stock will outperform the S&P 500 going forward. These bulls include stan8331 and TSIF, both of whom are ranked in the top 2% of our community.
In late March, stan8331 summed up Mosaic's fundamentals nicely for our community: "Low debt, good cash flow, low P/E, people have to eat and crops have to be grown to that end, even in bad times."
In a more recent pitch from April, TSIF helped fertilize the bull case even further:
Commodities are starting up, farmers have access to credit, people need to eat … with 30% [operating margins] and 50% ROE. Cash on hand exceeds debt by a hefty margin. While 52 week high is not a good indicator in a recession and [fertilizers] probably overshot their mark last year, Mosaic is still at only 25% of its 52 week high. Bulls charge!
