JDA Software (NASDAQ: JDAS) is exploring a sale, Reuters is reporting. Citing people "familiar with the matter" that it did not name, the news agency said yesterday that the company has retained JPMorgan Chase (JPM +0.19%) to advise it in the transaction, and that the process was at an "advanced stage."
JDA Software's market capitalization currently stands at around $1.45 billion. Its shares trade just below their one-year high. The company posted a net profit of $10.6 million on revenue of $169 million in 2Q. It recently rescheduled its 3Q earnings release from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5.
