Walgreen (WAG +0.00%) has announced that it will out a new quarterly dividend. The pharmacy operator will distribute $0.275 per share of its common stock on June 12 to shareholders of record as of May 21. That matches the company's previous three quarterly dividends, the most recent of which was paid in February. Before that, the company handed out $0.225 per share.
Walgreen is, famously, a habitual dividend payer. In the press release announcing its latest payout, the company stressed that it has made distributions in 322 straight quarters and raised them for 37 consecutive years.
The current dividend annualizes to $1.10 per share. That yields 2.3% at Walgreen's current stock price of $48.11.
