Merck (MRK 1.23%) is prescribing another booster shot of cash for its shareholders. The company has declared a dividend for its Q3, which will be $0.43 per share of common stock. This will be paid on July 8 to shareholders of record as of June 17. The amount matches both of the firm's previous two distributions, the most recent of which was paid in early April. Prior to that, Merck handed out a marginally lower $0.42 per share.
The just-declared dividend annualizes to $1.72 per share. That yields 3.6% at the firm's most recent closing stock price of $47.62.
