IAMGOLD (IAG 4.68%) might specialize in a precious metal, but it's continuing to pay its dividend in hard currency. The company has declared its latest semi-annual distribution at $0.125 per share of its common stock.

In the press release announcing the news, the company said these are "challenging" times for the gold sector. Nevertheless, it said its success in reducing costs allowed for the dividend to be maintained.
