Canadian oil and gas producer Baytex Energy (BTE 4.46%) announced yesterday its monthly dividend payment for June of $0.22 Canadian per share, the same monthly rate it's paid since 2011. The U.S. dollar equivalent is approximately $0.2162 per share, assuming a foreign exchange rate of $0.9826 USD-CAD.
The board of directors said the dividend is payable on July 15 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 28. The oil and gas producer has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2003.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $2.59-per-share annual dividend, yielding approximately 6.9% based on the closing price of Baytex Energy's stock on June 17.
