Specialized insurance products provider Assurant (AIZ -1.93%) announced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.25 per share, the same rate it paid last quarter after raising the payout 19%, from $0.21 per share.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Sept. 10 to the holders of record at the close of business on Aug. 26. The Insurance company has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2004.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.00-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.9% based on the closing price of Assurant's stock on July 11.
