Washington REIT Makes It 207 in a Row

The REIT began making payouts to investors in 1986.

Commercial and residential income-producing property REIT Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (WRE +0.47%) announced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.30 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past four quarters.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Sept. 30 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 16. The quarterly payout will mark the REIT's 207th consecutive payout to investors.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.20-per-share annual dividend, yielding 4.3% based on the closing price today of Washington REIT's stocks.
