For the quarter ended June 30 (Q2), Iron Mountain met expectations on revenues and missed estimates on earnings per share.

EPS came in at $0.29. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.31 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.29 for Q2 were 17% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.35 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.01 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.) GAAP EPS of $0.14 for Q2 were 36% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.22 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.01 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

For the quarter, gross margin was 57.5%, 90 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 17.3%, 370 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.5%, 160 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $761.7 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.32.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $3.05 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.17.
