There's a new addition to the ranks of top management at Zillow (NASDAQ:ZG). The company has tapped Kathleen Philips to be its new COO, promoting her from the position of general counsel that she has occupied since joining the firm in 2010.
Prior to her time at Zillow, Philips served as general counsel for FanSnap, a privately held event ticket search engine operator. Before that, she held the same job at Pure Digital Technologies, the maker of the Flip video camera that's now a unit of Cisco Systems. Previously, she was general counsel at ticket broker StubHub, which was bought by eBay in 2007, and online travel broker Hotwire.com, these days a subsidiary of Expedia.
