International Game Technology (IGT +1.96%) investors are about to pocket a little extra in prize money. The company has declared a quarterly common stock dividend of $0.10 per share, to be dispensed on October 4 to shareholders of record as of September 19. That amount is $0.01, or 11%, higher than the firm's previous distribution of $0.09 paid early last month. Prior to that, International Game Technology handed out $0.08 per share.
In the press release trumpeting the news, the company pointed out that this marks the 42nd consecutive quarter it has handed out a distribution, a record for the gaming sector.
The new dividend annualizes to $0.40 per share. That yields 2.1% at International Game Technology's current stock price of $19.24.
