Colgate-Palmolive (CL +1.01%) plans to pay investors a dividend of $0.34 per share this quarter.
The personal care giant has paid this amount since May 2013, after upping its payout from $0.31 per share, a 9.6% increase. Colgate's most recent dividend will be payable on Nov. 15 to shareholders of record as of Oct. 22.
Annualized, Colgate's dividend adds to $1.36 per share of common stock. At the market's close on Sept. 12, the company's stock was trading at $59.28, which means its dividend currently yields 2.2%. Colgate has paid uninterrupted dividends on its common stock since 1895 and increased payments to common shareholders every year for 50 years.
