Biotech Amgen (AMGN 1.81%) announced yesterday its fourth-quarter dividend of $0.47 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 30.5% from $0.36 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Dec. 6 to holders of record as of the close of business on Nov. 14. The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.88-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.6% based on the closing price Wednesday of Amgen's stock.
