The top business stories for today's investor.

The following video is from Tuesday's edition of Investor Beat, in which host Chris Hill and Motley Fool analysts Jason Moser and Jim Gillies dissect the hardest-hitting investing stories of the day.

Netflix has now crossed the 40 million subscriber mark and has more subscribers in the U.S. than HBO. Shares popped initially on the news but pulled back later in the day. One surprising voice warning investors that the stock price may have become a bit frothy is the company's own CEO, Reed Hastings. In the lead story on today's Investor Beat, Jason and Jim discuss Netflix's incredible run, and why they would be very wary of buying today at this incredibly lofty multiple.

Then the guys look at four stocks making moves on today's market. Chipotle hit another all-time high after reporting third-quarter earnings last week. Shares of Coach pulled back after first-quarter profits fell 1.6%, with same-store sales falling in North America nearly 7%. Apple unveiled its new iPad Air at an event in San Francisco, but shares showed no major pop on the news. And RadioShack fell very hard yet again today, on news of abysmal third-quarter results.

Finally, Jim and Jason tell investors why they'll be taking a close look at shares of Angie's List and Portfolio Recovery Associates this week.

Chris Hill owns shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill. Jason Moser owns shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill and Coach. Jim Gillies owns shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill and Portfolio Recovery Associates and also has options on Coach. The Motley Fool recommends Apple, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Coach, Netflix, and Portfolio Recovery Associates and owns shares of Apple, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Coach, and Netflix.
