NEW YORK (AP) -- The S&P Dow Jones Indices is delaying adding Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. to the S&P 500. No reason was given for the delay.
Kors, which sells luxury handbags, accessories and other items, was expected to join the S&P 500 after the market close on Friday. S&P said Thursday that Kors will join the S&P 500 at a future date that has yet to be announced.
Shares of Michael Kors finished at $77.98 on Wednesday. Its shares are up 52% so far this year.
