With natural gas exports garnering most headlines, the demand from abroad for liquified petroleum gases and our ability to satisfy is quickly gathering steam. Just after we passed Saudi Arabia for the largest oil producer in the world, we are expected to rival the Middle East in terms of LPG production within a year. Midstream companies such as Energy Transfer Partners (NYSE:ETP) and Sunoco Logistics (NYSE:SXL) are teaming up to build an export facility, and Enterprise Product Partners (NYSE:EPD) has joined forces with Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE:APC) and DCP Midstream Partners (NYSE:DCP) to construct additional NGL pipelines to support the expected production gains.
