Sotheby's (NYSE:BID) will report its third-quarter earnings after the market closes today. Analysts are expecting so-so numbers from the auction house, but consumer goods analyst Sean O'Reilly thinks that the company is insulated from weak consumer numbers thanks to its position at the high end of the market. Sean will be keeping a close eye on the company's expansion efforts in China, especially considering Sotheby's recent history of slow growth.
