There have been some doubts about Devon Energy (DVN 1.07%) because of its label as a natural gas company, but it looks like this past quarter finally put those concerns to bed. By bringing its Eagle Ford assets into the fold and making big strides with shale drilling in the Permain Basin, Devon's production portfolio is almost a 50/50 split between gas and liquids. Considering its drilling program for the next year or so, don't be surprised if that number climbs even further.
