Samsonite International SA engages in the design, manufacture, sourcing, and distribution of lifestyle bags. Its products include luggage, business and computer bags, outdoor and casual bags, travel accessories, and slim protective cases for personal electronic devices. It operates through the following geographical segments: North America, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Corporate. The North America segment covers operations in the United States of America and Canada. The Asia segment refers to India and the Middle East, China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, and certain other Asian markets. The Europe segment represents European countries and the South Africa operations. The Latin America segment includes Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay. The Corporate segment refers to certain licensing activities from brand names. The company was founded by Jesse Shwayder in 1910 and is headquartered in Mansfield, MA.
