The company made some big announcements, including the introduction of its much-anticipated smartphone.

Alphabet's (GOOG -0.57%) (GOOGL -0.49%) Google ventured further into the hardware market this week with the debut of its new Pixel phone and the launch of its voice-activated Google Home virtual assistant, as well as its new Daydream View virtual reality headset.

The company also debuted a new version of its streaming player, called Chromecast Ultra, as well as the new Google Wi-Fi wireless router.
