On Feb. 27, Papa John's International (NASDAQ:PZZA) released fourth-quarter earnings for the period ended Dec. 31.

  • Net revenue for the quarter increased 11.9% to $277.9 million, attributable to a rise in company-owned restaurant sales as a result of the acquisition of 57 domestic restaurants and 37 new restaurant openings.
  • EPS for the quarter increased 43.9%, including the impact of consolidation of the company's franchisee-owned cheese-purchasing entity, BIBP Commodities.
