For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Golar LNG beat slightly on revenues and missed estimates on earnings per share.

Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.22. The three earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.23 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS of $0.21 for Q4 were 200% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.07 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 76.9%, 530 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 42.5%, 1,230 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 21.3%, 1,400 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $85.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.44.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $428.3 million. The average EPS estimate is $2.37.
The stock has a three-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 549 members out of 578 rating the stock outperform, and 29 members rating it underperform. Among 180 CAPS All-Star picks (recommendations by the highest-ranked CAPS members), 174 give Golar LNG a green thumbs-up, and six give it a red thumbs-down.
