Lululemon athletica (LULU -1.26%) reported third-quarter results yesterday, indicating significant growth in most of its major financial metrics. Net revenue for the quarter came in at $316.5 million, a 37% year-on-year increase.

Net profit saw a rise of 48% over the same period to $57 million, for a diluted EPS of $0.39. Analysts had been expecting $0.37 on revenues of $305 million.Same-store sales climbed 18% on a year-over-year basis, the company said.

The better-than-expected results were tempered by lululemon's updated guidance for the fourth quarter. In its statement, the company said it expects EPS of $0.71-$0.73 for the quarter on $475 million-$480 million in revenue. Analysts had anticipated slightly higher estimates of $0.75 and $490.5 million.
