Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO) is now one board member lighter, as two directors have left and a new one has been appointed, the company reported in an official press release. Ex-Google (GOOGL -1.23%) executive, computer scientist, and entrepreneur Max Levchin is the new addition.

Levchin was vice president of engineering at Google following that company's acquisition of Slide, a software developer which he founded and managed. He is currently the chairman of the board at both data aggregator Kaggle, and Yelp (YELP -0.30%).

Departing from the board are David Kenny and Brad Smith. According to Yahoo!, the two men have left to concentrate on their respective firms.

With these moves, Yahoo! now has a board consisting of 11 individuals.
