EPS came in at $0.56. The seven earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.49 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.56 for Q1 were 14% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.65 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.03 were the same as the prior-year quarter.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 41.5%, 210 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 20.0%, 230 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 13.9%, 300 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $15.61 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.42.
