EPS came in at $1.56. The 19 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $1.44 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.56 for Q1 were 50% higher than the prior-year quarter's $1.04 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.01 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

For the quarter, gross margin was 14.2%, 380 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 11.9%, 370 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 8.4%, 330 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $11.83 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.67.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $45.69 billion. The average EPS estimate is $6.08.
