EPS came in at $1.12. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $1.12 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $1.12 for Q3 were 19% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.39 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.87 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.) GAAP EPS were $0.85 for Q3 compared to -$3.15 per share for the prior-year quarter.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 33.2%, 330 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 16.4%, 10 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 7.9%, much better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
