This week's earnings release from BlackBerry may contain the realities of the company's future moving forward.

With BlackBerry (BB -0.69%) set to release earnings at the end of the week, investors will be paying careful attention to sales figures and other critical metrics. This will be the first earnings report since the release of the Q10 smartphone, and only the second since the BB10 OS went live on the Z10. Analysts have wildly different opinions about the future of the company, with some upgrading and some downgrading shares heading into the announcement.
