LINN Energy (LINE +0.00%) and its sibling LinnCo (NASDAQ: LNCO) aren't letting a just-announced SEC probe keep them from handing out money to their unit and share holders. Both have declared a monthly dividend for this past April, which in both cases is to be $0.2416 per unit paid to unit or share holders of record as of the end of July 10. LINN Energy will distribute its payout on July 15, while LinnCo's will be made the following day.
The two just-declared dividends annualize to $2.90 per share or unit. For LINN Energy, this yields 10.7% at its most recent closing stock price of $27.05. Those numbers for LinnCo are 9.4% and $30.90, respectively.
