Independent and assisted living community REIT Senior Housing Properties Trust (DHC -1.25%) announced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.39 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past three quarters after raising the payout 2.6% from $0.38 per share.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 21 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 17. The REIT has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2000.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.56-per-share annual dividend, yielding 5.9% based on the closing price of Senior Housing Properties Trust stock on July 2.
