Costamare Keeps Dividend Steady

Containership owner began making quarterly payouts to investors in 2011.

Containership owner and provider Costamare (NYSE: CMRE) announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.27 per share, the same rate it's paid since late 2011.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 7 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 24. The containership owner has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2011 and raised the payout 8% after just three payments.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.08-per-share annual dividend, yielding 6% based on the closing price of Costamare's stock on July 10.
