ExxonMobil (XOM +0.34%) has chosen to pay a third-quarter dividend of $0.63 per share of common stock. The company paid the same amount last quarter, after raising the payout 10% from $0.57 a share.
Over the past 30 years, ExxonMobil's dividend payment has grown at an annual average rate of 6%. Exxon has increased its annual dividend payment to shareholders for 31 consecutive years. This latest payout annualizes to $2.52 and as of market close on July 30, when the company's stock price was $93.81, Exxon's dividend yields 2.7%. The amount will be payable on Sept. 10 to shareholders of record on Aug. 13.
