While most observers focused on the new iPad Air following Apple's (AAPL -0.03%) big event on Tuesday, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says the bigger news is in how Apple changed the governing dynamics of the Mac.

Specifically, Apple added two improvements to its signature Finder file system. Finder Tags allow users to assign attributes to any file or folder to make them more easily searchable.
